General Manager – Finance

A rare opportunity now exists for an experienced General Manager – Finance to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis looking after Pure Wine Co as well as Dural Wines Australia who represent the Kaesler vineyards in the Barossa as well as vineyards in the Adelaide Hills (Saint & Scholar) the Clare and Yarra Valleys.
 
The Role

Reporting to the CEO, your duties will include:

• Overseeing and managing all management financial reporting including preparation of the statutory accounts
• Supervising the month end process, including all necessary intercompany transactions, reconciliations and ensuring reports are prepared in a timely manner
• Preparing the monthly board report and pack including all associated analysis
• Managing a finance team of 4x individuals including all workflow, reviews, and development
• Collaborating with the broader leadership team to contribute to strategic planning initiatives
• Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, including tax compliance in consultation with external tax advisors
• Driving continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency, including the implementation of a new finance system across all entities (MYOB)
• Any other finance tasks as required by the business

About You

• Commercially astute Financial Controller with a strong track record of leading and contributing to the success of medium-sized businesses
• Degree qualified with full CA or CPA membership
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide visibility and detailed analysis to support financial results
• Hands-on approach and the willingness collaborate with both financial and non-financial leaders across the organisation to achieve strategic goals
• Previous industry experience in wine, FMCG or manufacturing will be highly regarded
