Finance Business Partner

Oversee the day-to-day running of the finance function in a highly regarded, values driven not-for-profit on a full-time, permanent basis.

An opportunity now exists for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
 
The Role

You’ll report directly to the CFO and you’ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the finance function as well as working closely with operational leaders to provide visibility of financial performance across service activities.

Duties will include:

  • Leading month-end reporting, delivering clear insights on actuals vs forecast variances
  • Partnering with operational leaders to drive financial visibility across programs
  • Providing strategic advice to senior stakeholders on performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Aligning operational, workforce, and financial plans to support organisational outcomes
  • Monitoring financial performance against budgets, identifying trends and key drivers
  • Overseeing Finance, Payroll, AR/AP functions, providing strong team leadership
  • Managing compliance, funding requirements, and audit readiness across multiple entities
  • Leading budgeting and rolling forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment to strategy
  • Delivering financial modelling, business cases, and Board-level reporting
  • Identifying cost improvement opportunities and support optimisation initiatives
  • Leveraging ERP/BI tools to enhance reporting, automation, and data quality
  • Promoting financial accountability and improve financial literacy across the business
  • Supervising the effective management of the NDIS Plan Management team and ensuring that SLAs are met and performance is optimised
  • Any other operational or finance duties as required by the business

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance or business + CA/CPA qualification (or near completion)
  • Demonstrated end to end finance management experience across financial, management and operational accounting functions
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards and governance requirements
  • Comfortable with systems including Excel and/or Power BI
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with various financial and non-financial stakeholders across the business
  • Team based and collaborative individual with a positive and innovative approach
  • Industry experience is not essential to be considered; however, healthcare or NDIS exposure will be highly regarded
  • All employees require a National Police Clearance, NDIS & Working with Children Checks
