This role will be supporting the delivery of a landmark defence infrastructure project currently underway in Osborne, SA. The project involves the construction of a state-of-the-art training and skills facility designed to support the future workforce needs of Australia’s naval shipbuilding and defence industries.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring compliance with project document control procedures, organisational policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Managing and maintaining accurate project documentation, registers, and filing systems to ensure information is current, accessible, and auditable.
- Providing high-level administrative and document management support to internal project teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Coordinating the flow of incoming and outgoing project documentation, ensuring all records are correctly registered, tracked, and distributed.
- Supporting design teams, engineers, and subcontractors with document control requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Developing, implementing, and continuously improving document control processes and procedures to enhance project efficiency and compliance.
- Administering and maintaining document management platforms, including Aconex and SharePoint.
- Monitoring document workflows and ensuring project documentation is issued, reviewed, approved, and archived in accordance with project requirements.
- Preparing regular compliance reports for project managers and key stakeholders.
- Conducting quality audits and compliance reviews to ensure documentation standards, project governance requirements, and performance measures are met.
- This is a site based role located at Osborne.
About You
- Previous experience in a Document Control, Contract Administration, or Project Support role within construction, engineering, infrastructure, defence, or a related industry (required).
- Strong working knowledge of Aconex and SharePoint experience (highly regarded).
- Australian Citizenship (required)
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Confident managing high volumes of documentation with accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across a range of stakeholders.
- Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimisation.
