Chief Executive Officer
The CEO leads the Council’s administration, implements Council strategies and decisions, manages resources, and drives economic development and growth. The CEO is accountable for effective governance, financial sustainability, and delivering high-quality services to the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and advice to Council.
- Oversee human resources, finances, assets, and major projects.
- Foster a positive, high-performing organisational culture.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and Council policies.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and the community.
- Promote continuous improvement and innovation.
- Champion work health and safety.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in management, business, planning, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in leading complex organisations.
- Strong governance, financial, and people management skills.
- High emotional intelligence, professionalism, and commitment to Council values.
