Perks People Solutions are partnering with a highly regarded and well-known family business with a long history of achieving incredible success here in the SA market. They are currently seeking a Finance Manager to join their close-knit team located in the south/east. The position will provide the successful candidate with an exciting opportunity to add value, drive and lead the function in an exciting and dynamic business environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller you’ll be responsible for a variety of tasks including (but not limited to):
- Leading the month-end close process, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of journals, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Preparing monthly financial statements, including Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss reports, supported by meaningful analysis and insights.
- Overseeing cash flow forecasting and treasury management to support effective business decision-making.
- Contributing to the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning process.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes, controls, and overall team performance.
- Mentoring, support, and develop the accounts and administration team through day-to-day leadership and coaching.
- Providing broad finance support and contribute to key projects and business initiatives as required.
About You
- Fully qualified CA or CPA professional, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline.
- An excellent opportunity for an ambitious Senior Accountant ready to step into their first Finance Manager role, or an experienced Finance Manager seeking a new challenge.
- Demonstrated experience within a commercial or industry-based environment is essential, ideally gained within a medium-sized organisation.
- Strong technical accounting expertise with a proven track record of delivering high-quality financial reporting, compliance, and finance operations.
- Well-developed understanding of contemporary accounting standards, financial controls, and best-practice finance processes.
- A proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability to manage diverse finance responsibilities while partnering effectively with stakeholders across the business.
