General Manager Finance – Experiences & Attractions

The Role
 
Reporting to the Executive General Manager – Group Finance, Operations & Performance, the General Manager of Finance Role for the Experiences & Attractions portfolio will partner with the operational leadership of each business unit (MD, EGM and GMs). Duties will include:

  • Providing the MD, EGM Finance Operations & Performance, and the Experiences & Attractions leadership team with insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Supporting the development of finance and operational business unit strategy
  • Leading group planning, budgeting and forecasting for the Experiences & Attractions portfolio
  • Supporting the development of the five-year strategic plan and financial modelling for Experiences & Attractions
  • Evaluating and driving Experiences & Attractions divisional financial performance
  • Leading period-end processes and reporting, and provide timely financial insights to support informed decision-making and commercial outcomes
  • Leading the Experiences & Attractions organisational efficiency program and related initiatives
  • Leading divisional capex planning and reporting and manage divisional capex budget
  • Assisting in strategic capital planning and project approval
  • Leading the Finance Operations function for the Experiences & Attractions Division
  • Leading divisional commercial and contractual review and approval processes, including compliance with delegated authorities
  • Providing accurate and timely information to external stakeholders (shareholders, advisers, auditors, tax advisers etc.)
  • Implementing systems that enable accurate, efficient financial data management and reporting

About You

  • Demonstrated success in a similar role for a company of similar scale and complexity
  • Relevant Finance or Accounting tertiary qualification and CA/CPA professional membership
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to translate strategy into outcomes
  • Proven leadership capability, with experience building and leading high-performing teams
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Results-oriented and delivery-focused, with a demonstrated track record in transformation and change
  • Collaborative and collegiate approach, with experience working across national or complex environments
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capability
