Our Client

Our client is a leading national healthcare organisation with strong investment backing and an established reputation for excellence. As the business enters its next phase, an opportunity has emerged for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join the executive team and play a key role in shaping and supporting the organisation’s continued success.

The Role

  • Lead and oversee the Group’s end‑to‑end finance function and corporate shared services platform across multiple entities.
  • Plan, implement, and manage all financial activities, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and statutory reporting.
  • Manage Group cashflow, banking, borrowing arrangements, and debt facilities, ensuring strong controls and liquidity management.
  • Provide leadership to the finance and administration team, ensuring timely, accurate, and standardised monthly financial statements and management reports.
  • Ensure robust financial disciplines, internal controls, risk management frameworks, and compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and statutory obligations.
  • Deliver high‑quality financial analysis and insights, identifying opportunities to improve profitability, cost control, and overall business performance.
  • Partner with departmental leaders to drive process improvements, efficiency initiatives, and revenue and cost‑saving strategies.
  • Provide financial leadership on major projects, investments, and M&A activity, including investment appraisal, due diligence, and post‑acquisition integration.
  • Prepare and present monthly Board packs and financial results, contributing insights to support strategic decision‑making.
  • Play a key role in the development and execution of the organisation’s overall business strategy.
  • Oversee financial systems, management information systems, and data integrity to ensure reliable reporting across all aspects of the business.
  • Manage audit processes, taxation affairs, and compliance with legislative requirements across all states, while actively supporting and promoting the Group’s vision and values.

About You

  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in a senior finance leadership role ideally within a service-based industry, healthcare or an investment backed organisation (e.g. private equity)
  • Degree‑qualified with a recognised professional accounting accreditation (e.g. CA).
  • Proven strategic capability, including business planning, execution, complex financial modelling, and contribution to executive decision‑making.
  • Strong experience managing banking relationships, leveraged debt, and capital structures.
  • Demonstrated expertise in taxation, corporate law compliance, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Experience leading M&A activity, including investment appraisal, due diligence, and post‑acquisition integration will be highly regarded
  • Ability to lead and develop high‑performing finance teams, while meeting tight reporting deadlines.
  • Highly professional communicator with strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative leadership style that supports a positive, inclusive corporate culture.
