Due to the company’s growth an opportunity now exists for a highly motivated and energetic individual to join the business as an Accountant – supporting both the Senior Management Accountant & CFO with day-to-day finance tasks.
The Role
- Accounts Payable: Process invoices & customer refunds, maintain AP aging, resolve queries, and prepare payment runs.
- Accounts Receivable & Inter Entity Transaction: Manage Intra-Group invoicing, WIP accounts, and other inter entity transactions.
- Cash & Bank: Daily reconciliations, monitor cashflow, prepare forecasts, and manage bank authorisations. Assist with new account setup and merchant facility creation.
- General Ledger & Month-End: Post journals, maintain balance sheet substantiation and reconciliations, assist with intercompany reconciliations.
- Compliance & Audit: Maintain compliance calendar, prepare audit materials,
- Systems & Process Improvement: Support AP automation, expense management tools, and SharePoint cleanup.
- Operational Support: Prepare data and reports for month end analysis, liaise with operations and capex stakeholders.
- Cashflow Forecasting: Assist in preparation of cashflow forecasts from time to time
- Budgeting: Assist in preparation of budget suites during the year
About You
We’re open to receiving applications from a variety of candidates including experienced Finance Officers or Bookkeepers looking to step up and take on more accounting duties or experienced Accountants/Senior Accountants looking to take a flexible role. Key criteria include:
- Previous experience working in a finance role where you’ve been involved with a variety of accounting tasks
- Degree qualified in accounting, finance or business or equivalent experience
- Comfortable using Excel to an intermediate level
- High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines with ease
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships in your immediate team as well as non-finance leaders across various storage sites
- Previous multi-entity experience e.g. in construction, property, retail, funds management – or similar will be highly regarded
- An understanding of Xero or a similar software package is desirable
