About the Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this newly created Deputy CEO role will take operational leadership of Council’s core functions, finance, human resources, risk, work health and safety, and administration. The successful candidate will be a trusted partner to the CEO and work closely with the management team and staff to foster collaboration, build capability, and deliver high-quality services to the community. Key to your success will be your ability to assist the CEO in implementing the organisation’s strategic plan and business objectives.
This role is designed for a high-performing leader looking for an opportunity to take on a broader management role. It offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to the future of the Council and the region.
About You
You will bring:
- 3–5 years’ experience in a senior leadership role ideally within Local Government or a related sector
- Strong operational capability with a track record of continuous improvement
- A collaborative and grounded leadership style
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to build trust quickly
- A willingness to relocate and commit to the region and its future

The Offer
A competitive package of up to $200K is on offer, including housing and a vehicle, for the right candidate. A five-year contract will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
