T-Ports is a rapidly expanding player in the supply chain and logistics industry. They specialise in innovative solutions for the export of Australian commodities, and they partner with customers and investors to use a flexible model that positions port infrastructure close to the product’s origin. Supporting their strategic growth objectives is a strong leadership team and board with specialised market knowledge and expertise. An opportunity now exists for an experienced Senior Accountant/Finance Manager to join their team permanently based in their Adelaide CBD office.
 
The Role

Reporting through to the Chief Financial Officer your duties will include:

  • Preparing monthly financial reports including profit & loss, balance sheet and cashflow
  • Preparing monthly management reports including all commentary, analysis and variance investigation
  • Assisting with the preparation and distribution of the Board Pack
  • Assisting with cost and other benchmarking across business units to be able to compare financial performance
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliation and reviewing monthly accruals and standard journals
  • Supporting compliance tasks like statutory accounts, BAS and tax returns
  • Completing the period close schedule
  • Managing the year-end annual audit process
  • Reviewing financial process controls to ensure they are operating effectively and meet audit requirements
  • Continuous improvement activities around systems and reporting
  • Supervision of two direct reports

About You

  • Strong understanding of accounting standards, taxation and compliance
  • Exposure Xero or other equivalent financial systems
  • Degree qualified + full CA or CPA membership
  • Experience working in logistics, supply chain or agriculture industry will be highly regarded
