Accounts Manager

The Company:

The Jones Group is a proudly Northern Territory owned and operated company that consists of a number of successful Agri businesses including but not limited to, North Australian Helicopters (NAH), Jones Cattle NT, Victoria River Roadhouse, The Top Springs Hotel, and the famous Coolibah Station.
 
The Role: 

This is a full-time, permanent role based in Marrakai, NT. The Accounts Manager plays a key part in the support of the businesses finance functions and ensures compliance of financial administration across the group. You will need strong organisation and time management skills; partnered with an ability to pick up any task and complete it within time constraint deadlines. You will also need exceptional communication skills as to provide regular reports and information to the General Manager, Managing Director, and the External Accountants.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Perform monthly supplier statement reconciliations
  • Manage weekly debtor follow-ups and maintain effective debtor control processes
  • Regular reporting of key financial information (including aged debtor and creditor reports to management)
  • Preparation of fortnightly end-to-end payroll for approximately 50 employees across the group businesses (Xero experience is essential)
  • Daily reconciliation across multiple bank accounts
  • Reconcile intercompany transactions and loan accounts on a monthly basis (balance sheet experience is essential)
  • Coordinate with insurance brokers to manage and renew company insurance policies
  • Collaborate with external accountants by providing timely and accurate data for month-end close, tax compliance, and financial reporting

You will have a positive can-do attitude, proven experience working within a similar role and possess a demonstrated high-level of interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. You will also have strong attention to detail and work to a high level of accuracy.
